BUSY 1st Year In Review; HELLO 2024!!

WOW, I am still blown away that my entire first year in my own shop is done and gone! All of my 2023 brides were just fantastic and filled my heart with so much love and support. Last year I was able to serve 117 brides and 66 formal gowns. Being the only seamstress at my shop, as well as running my business and all the back end, I was far more busy than I could have ever expected. My goal for the year had been to serve 100 amazing women and I definitely met that+.

I was super blessed when I first started working in bridal, 6 years ago, to have been able to use an automated system for txt/email/appointments/etc. but I’ve truly missed that. The hours I spent last year on a weekly/daily basis simply sending out txts and emails, returning phone calls, working through invoices and contracts was crazy! Currently I’m working with a gal who is helping me get everything automated, as well as open up an availability calendar so my brides can see what I\’ve got available and book themselves. I am SO excited about that.

As I was contemplating my schedule for this year I\’ve decided to block out every 4th week to give myself a rest; to catch up with my family (laundry) and make sure that I get some sun. My schedule for this coming 2024 season is going to be a little bit slimmed down in the hopes that I can keep a more healthy work/homelife balance, and still leave space for the occasional emergency bride. It’s literally the worst to turn girls away when I’m full (my poor bleeding heart), but I will do everything I can to help someone out when they have no where else to go.

Appointments book up so quickly and currently I’m fully booked for bridal through the end of June, but have space for other formal gowns. I am also working on getting a Formal Gown contact form/information page set up on my website as well as a Gallery and review page ready…..I am not tech savvy but will get it done soon!

I can’t wait to meet all my brides this year and help them all feel their most confident and beautiful. It’s gonna be an amazing year, I just know it!
