I am so excited that you are interested in me for your bridal alterations!
I started my own business in bridal alterations 2 years ago, after working in a bridal shop alterations department for 6 years. My first day working with brides immediately had me falling in love with this industry. Sewing has been a passion of mine since I was very young and being paid to do what I love and help serve women in my community is very fulfilling.
Thinking back on my own wedding gown alterations, I remember feeling like everything was scheduled incredibly fast, and felt robotic with my seamstress. That experience is NOT my hope for you!
Specializing in bridal and women's formal sewing allows me to focus on you and your vision. I believe every part of wedding and event planning should be special, and that includes your alterations!

She also added some fabric to the neckline to make it more modest and the dress looked like the alteration was part of the original design. She is sweet and fun to work with.”
Reach out here for bridal or women's formal alterations. I'll reach out within 48 business hours. We'll then jump on a call and use this time to discuss your dress and make sure we're a good fit!
You'll pick a date & time, pick your fitting package, and pay your retainer. Once the retainer is paid you will receive an appointment confirmation email along with your contract.
We'll discuss your wedding and any design changes or customization you want to do on your dress. Once you're in your gown, I make sure everything is fitting properly on your body before we decide on any changes. I'll then go over the cost of the alterations we've pinned, take a minimum of a 60% down payment towards those alterations, and schedule your next appointment.
At the second appointment we check the fit of the initial alterations, pin any adjustments, and then pin any final alterations like the hem and bustle. At the end of the appointment we go over the cost of any new alterations, take payment and schedule the final appointment.
At the final appointment we do a full look over everything to make sure it's fitting the way we want! Bring a friend to help them learn how to bustle your dress! The dress will be ready for steaming or to go home with you. Occasionally a bride will need a fourth appointment, either because of some body changes, or major custom alterations that needed a little more attention. This is usually known and discussed by the second appointment.
It is my pleasure to work with bride across the PNW who desire to have their alterations done thoughtfully, with care and creativity, and to be empowered to make educated decisions on what happens to their gown. Alterations to gowns are completely custom to each bride and their specific needs. My brides desire to make sure that their needs and vision will be considered in the process of achieving a beautiful fit for their wedding day.
